Description
Here are some healthy food suggestions to bring on the plane for your child. They will fill your child up, prevent sugar overload, pass through security and you won't have to carry heavy baby food jars.
- GoGo Squeeze applesauce in a resealable pouch
- Bananas are perfect for everyone. They can be mashed in their skin (or airplane cup), peeled and fed to baby or eaten easily by toddlers and children.
- Avocados Cut open the avocado, remove the seed, cut the avocado into pieces leaving it in the skin, replace the seed and place halves together. The seed prevents the avocado from browning.
- Sweet potatoes can be baked ahead of time. Open the skin when you are ready to feed your baby.
- Pasta can be pre-cooked and carried in a small disposable container. It can be warmed up in an airport restaurant or inflight.
- Bagels with cream cheese or peanut butter are a good option. Bagels take a long time to chew and don't smoosh easily.
Suggestions
- Bring only what you will eat and what is manageable.
- A small zippered lunch container to carry foods.
- Don't bring foods that are smelly on an airplane.
